What You Need to Know Before you Apply

  1. Applications for the 2026–2027 school year open Monday, March 16, 2026.
  2. Current students will see the Declaration of Intent to Return deposit in School Cash.
  3. New students must submit the Prospective Student Application through PowerSchool Enrollment and complete the required School Cash payment.
  4. Applications are reviewed by the school and are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  5. Current student application deadline: April 15, 2026.
Application Process for Prospective (NEW) CIS Students

Families applying for a new student will submit their application through PowerSchool Enrollment using the form Calgary Islamic School Prospective Student Application (2026-2027).

Once an application form has been submitted, new families will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 through School Cash Online for each application. There is an additional $100.00 fee for those applying to kindergarten for student assessment. The kindergarten fee is not required at application submission but will be assigned once an assessment date is set. Submitting an online form and School Cash payment begins the application process with CISS. Applications will be reviewed by the school, and families will be notified once a student is approved. The remaining program fee schedule and deposit to hold the student’s spot for the fall will be communicated following the approval process.

Application Process for Current CIS Students

Families planning to return to Omar Bin al-Khattab will have a fee applied to their School Cash account in the amount of $250.00 for each student. This fee is a deposit (non-refundable) for the application declaring a student’s intent to return for the 2026-2027 school year. Once the fee has been paid, the application will be processed and reviewed by CISS. 

✔️ Approved students will then be sent a second email from PowerSchool Enrollment with instructions for completing their 2026-2027 PRPS Returning Student Registration form.  

Important: Only those families without outstanding items on file will have School Cash fees applied to their account. If you do not see the Declaration to Return Fee in your School Cash account, please contact the school.
